Job Description

We’re looking for a talented Senior Manager to join our exceptional team, help us continue our rapid growth, and create a better way forward for our customers. The Credit Infrastructure team at Fundbox owns business intent for credit models used in underwriting, pricing, loan performance, and collections. The team is responsible for building for next-generation risk and valuations models and will partner with data science to deliver on the agenda.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team that develops, maintains, and monitors cash flow valuation models that is used to drive underwriting decisions (Approve/Decline, etc.)
  • Own loss forecasting process for Fundbox
  • Collaborate with data science and product partners to define the modeling agenda. 
  • Analyze performance for statistical models to develop recommendations that improve credit underwriting 
  • Identify and integrate new data sources into credit models at Fundbox
  • Communicate complex model methodologies and results to senior management

You should have:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in a quantitative analytics role at financial services, consulting, or high-growth fintech firm 
  • Experience in managing and developing a team of analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with the goal of developing and retaining talent 
  • Deep understanding of P&L drives and impact of models on the bottom line. 
  • Ability to define analysis structure and deliver airtight recommendations 
  • Strong sense of ownership and business intuition. 
  • Strong technical skills - SQL and Excel proficiency required, Python & Tableau experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver insights clearly and succinctly 
  • BS / MS in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering) preferred
