We’re looking for a talented HR Generalist to join our exceptional team, help us continue our rapid growth, and create a better way forward for our customers. In this position on our People team, you will have an opportunity to help build strategy and own organization and processes for talent management, retention, compensation, employee engagement, training, and more. The right person for this position thrives in a fast-paced, ever changing environment, is an excellent communicator, excels at time management, and enjoys the challenge of always trying to stay one step ahead of things!

In this role, you will

  • Work closely with managers throughout the organization to execute people strategies that support our people and our business goals and objectives.
  • Manage our benefits by being both the main point of contact for our benefits providers as well as a “go to” resource for our People for any questions that arise regarding leaves, benefit plans, wellness benefits, and more.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain People related policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, state and federal reporting, workers comp, etc. and keep up to date with the ever changing regulatory and reporting requirements. 
  • Promote People programs and continually explore new perks, benefits, activities, etc to support our People and culture.
  • Conduct background checks, employment verifications, and assist with hiring and interviews, as needed.
  • Own new hire onboarding, help build employee recognition programs, and assist in organizing training and development initiatives.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices, trends, and new technologies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Partner with our Recruiting team to build employer branding.
  • Assist with other People projects and reporting, as needed.

You should have

  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup. Recruiting experience a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills within a cross-functional environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of current U.S. employment and labor laws
  • Understanding of all HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent people and time management skills and demonstrated high emotional intelligence
