Job Description

We’re looking for a talented Business Manager to join the Growth Marketing team at Fundbox. In this role, you will autonomously own the agenda for multi-million dollar marketing channels, including Direct Mail or Digital Marketing (e.g., Paid Search, Paid Social, Digital Display). You will be responsible for developing the strategic roadmap to optimize existing channel performance as well as investing in new, high leverage areas of opportunity.  You will also lead testing, reporting, analytics, and forecasting for the program. You will partner closely with Credit, Data Science, and Tech to identify improved customer profitability dynamics and build the infrastructure to capitalize - and may directly manage other analysts and marketing managers. 

In this role, you will

  • Identify and deploy marketing strategies across Direct Mail and/or Digital Marketing channels (e.g., Paid Search, Paid Social, Digital Display)
  • Build infrastructure to analyze, measure, and monitor marketing channel performance and ROI (e.g., SQL, Python) or oversee analyst(s) as they do so to inform growth marketing strategy
  • Determine data visualization strategy and use analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Slides) to synthesize recommendations, present business proposals, and recommend structure for program monitoring
  • Optimize channel performance by developing and deploying Test & Learn strategies (copy, messaging, creative), segmentation strategies, and ROI-based decisioning 
  • Generate customer and prospect insights using both Fundbox and Small Business industry data, then fold them into our growth strategy
  • Ultimately be accountable for overall channel performance and growth with a multi-million dollar budget

You should have

  • 3+ years of experience in a quantitative analytics, business strategy, or management consulting role 
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics or Credit Analytics
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced technical skills including Excel and SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Strong sense of ownership and business intuition, plus an ability to think and operate in white space
  • BS / MS - quantitative disciplines (Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Finance or a related discipline) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Python experience
  • Financial services experience
  • Experience with Digital Marketing analytics (Paid Search, Google Discovery, Programmatic Display) or Direct Mail/Prospect Data analytics
  • Expertise in Web Analytics, Google Analytics, and SEO
  • Experience with modeling strategies
